AQuaLooP Marine Adventure Wakayama Kataonami 2026

An opportunity for family-friendly summer fun

If your idea of a perfect warm-weather getaway involves a little excitement alongside the ocean, Wakayama's AQuaLooP is set to make a splash once again at Kataonami Beach.

The popular marine activity area turns part of the coastline into a giant playground on the water, featuring more than 30 challenges designed to test balance, agility, and bravery. Guests can climb, jump, swing, slide, and bounce their way across a sprawling network of inflatables while enjoying views of the sea.

This year, the layout has been expanded significantly, growing to approximately 200 meters in circumference. New additions include a lengthy zip line, joining crowd favorites such as the giant slide, Tarzan rope, and trampoline-style features. The result is an even larger space packed with action for visitors looking to burn off energy in a unique setting.

AQuaLooP welcomes participants aged six and above who meet the height requirements and can swim. Families are especially well catered for, with safety briefings and life jackets provided before each session. While younger visitors will love the chance to tackle the various challenges, adults may find themselves having just as much fun navigating the slippery course.

Located around 90 minutes by car from central Osaka, Kataonami Beach makes an easy addition to a Kansai road trip itinerary. Once you've finished your aquatic adventure, Wakayama's local food scene awaits, with specialties including fresh seafood, raw shirasu rice bowls, and the region's famous ramen.
