80m続く白藤のトンネルを抜け、600畳の広がりをもつ藤棚の下に立てば、誰もがこの花の貴婦人たちに心を奪われ、言葉を失うだろう。その凛とした姿、気高い香りは、いつまでも心に焼きついて離れない。1996（平成8）年、260tの炭素を埋設し、4本の藤が移植された。以後、大切に育まれた藤が成長し、毎年4月下旬から5月上旬にかけて、6種、350本の貴婦人たちが競い咲く豪華な花の園となる。青空に輝く上品な紫、闇に浮かび上がる妖艶な白、どちらも息をのむ美しさだ。part 2はこちら
