足利フラワーパークでは、6種、350本の藤が、少しずつ時期をずらしながら満開を迎える。うすべに、紫、八重、白藤、そして最後に、きばな藤へと続いていく。ゴールデンウィークに藤の開花が重なるためか、園内ではのんびり過ごす人が多い。明るいうちに藤を見に来ても、日暮れまでベンチに腰掛けて話をして過ごしたり、持ち込みの弁当を広げてピクニックをしたり、バーベキューで腹ごしらえをしたりして、ライトアップを待っているのだ。夜の藤は、昼間とは違う、別の魅力がある。闇に揺れる花房の下には、神秘的な芳香が漂い、妖しい世界への扉が開いているかのようだ。part 1はこちら
