Sapporo Station is the main train station for Hokkaido’s capital city. It is a central travel hub for many travelers to Hokkaido, thanks to being 40-minutes by train from Hokkaido’s main airport at New Chitose. By 2031, the Hokkaido Shinkansen line will be extended from its current Hakodate terminus, making train travel from Tokyo possible (information as of March 2022).
The station has a range of amenities and is surrounded by a variety of shopping malls and department stores, providing limitless options for entertainment, shopping, and dining in the near vicinity.

This observation deck presents a panoramic and unhindered view of the city. Located on the 38th level of the JR Tower, it stands 160 meters tall and opens until late, giving a stunning view of the Sapporo nightlife. During the day, you can see Mount Moiwa. Sapporo Maruyama Zoo is a municipal animal park in Sapporo, Hokkaido Prefecture.
